FORT WORTH, Texas (November 1, 2017)Purple Land Management (PLM), a full-service land management firm, has been recognized as one of the 2017 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America by Inc. 5000. “We can’t thank our customers and employees enough for making it possible for us to once again receive this honor,” said Jesse Hejny, president of PLM. “We made it on the list because of hundreds of dedicated employees and loyal customers who helped us power through one of the roughest years in recent memory in oilfield services.”

Established in 1982, the Inc. 5000 is a prestigious list of the nation’s most successful private companies, and it has become the hallmark of entrepreneurial success. For more information on the Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Companies in America, please visit https://www.inc.com/inc5000/list.

PLM Named Historic Preservation Project Award Winner

By: Cori Willett

On September 27, 2017 Purple Land Management (“PLM”) was honored to receive the Preservation Project Award from Historic Fort Worth, Inc. for the restoration of the Winfield Garage into what is now named Winfield Place.  Winfield Place now serves as PLM’s corporate headquarters.  The building was originally constructed in 1920 as a parking garage for 300 cars and today is a fully updated office space for over 150 employees and contractors.

Accepting the award on PLM’s behalf was Director of Land Operations, Cori Willett.  Also in attendance from PLM were Kristen Leighton, Matthew Cross, and John Dobbs.  The event recognized PLM along with several others in the community for their excellence in preservation projects, rehabilitation of residential properties, great stewardship of historic places and significant achievement in the restoration of historic resources.

The awards ceremony was also paired with the Cantey Lecture series and featured Beth Wiedower, Director of the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Houston Field Office.  Ms. Wiedower spoke on preservation and the public process and encouraged listeners to take action in their communities.  PLM’s own Matthew Cross best summed up the evening by quoting Jane Jacobs who said, “Old ideas can sometimes use new buildings.  New ideas must use old buildings.”
