PLM Employee, David Brooks, Inducted into Blanchard Oklahoma Athletic Hall of Fame

 .

On October 7, 2017 David Brooks, Vice President of Land & Business Development, was inducted to the Blanchard Athletic Hall of Fame and honored for his athletic achievement and contributions to Blanchard High School athletics.  David’s best friend and fellow PLM employee, DeWayne Vaughn, gave his introduction.

David was honored for his accomplishments in baseball, basketball, and football.  He scored over 1,000 points in his high school basketball career, but he excelled the most in baseball. He was awarded the Johnny Bench Award, which honors the Oklahoma High School Baseball Player of the Year, his senior year.  He was also named to the Worth Sporting Goods High School All American Team which was selected by the Association of Collegiate Baseball Coaches. Following his high school career, David went on to pitch for the University of Oklahoma baseball team.

David’s father, Oscar, was inducted last year in the inaugural class, so David was honored to join his family legacy.  Also in attendance were David’s son, Aaron, and his sister.  Congratulations on your induction, David!
