This year’s PBLA shrimp boil and golf tournament was an astounding success! The PLM Midland Branch hosted a pre-shrimp boil happy hour where many of PLM’s clients were invited to attend. It was hosted on the rooftop bar of the DoubleTree Hotel in downtown Midland and was a fantastic time for all those who came out to the event. Everyone in attendance bonded over great drinks and some perfect weather that was not too windy for once!
After the happy hour, the Permian Basin Landman’s Association (“PBLA”) hosted their annual Shrimp Boil at The Bar in downtown Midland. Landmen from all over crowded the venue to eat delicious shrimp, enjoy beer, live music, and good company. PLM Midland had a great showing of landmen who came out for the boil and were able to connect and mingle with clients and other professionals in the field. It was not only a great networking event, but a great time for all who attended.
The very next morning, the PBLA hosted the annual Golf Classic at The Hogan Golf Course in Midland. PLM had a premiere spot on the course where a tent was set up right off the tee box of the 16th Hole. Koozies, croakies, PLM cups, and beverages were handed out to the golfers as they made their way to the hole. For the second year in a row, PLM provided brick oven fired pizzas from the Cane D’oro Pizza Truck at the tent. Golfers were more than pleased—who doesn’t love pizza and golf?
The Shrimp Boil and Golf Classic are the premiere events for the PBLA. Clients and landmen from all over come out to Midland to partake in what they call the “Landman’s Spring Break.” It was not only a fun and exciting time for everyone, but was also a great opportunity for lasting connections and friendships. The PLM Midland office was proud and honored to represent Purple “The Purple Way” to those who attended the event. One thing is certain, PLM Midland is eagerly looking forward to next year’s event!
